My fav fall recipes and lots of cervical fluid chat
Oct 20, 2026
Hey fam bam! It's melanie again!
FAV CLEAN SEASONAL YUMMIES:
- Pumpkin spice latte: pumpkin spice protein powder, double shot of espresso, milk, YUM
-
Hot chocolate: I have been making this recipe for years. Pour milk in a mug. Stir in some cacao (Trader Joe’s has it!) and a lil bit of maple syrup (my fav). Pop in microwave for 1-1.5 m, stir again, and enjoy <3
- One-Bowl pumpkin chocolate chip bread: I am defffffinitely making this recipe this week. I love everything she makes honestly. She’s a great insta follow too!
WHAT WE'RE UP TO THIS WEEK:
- I posted this on insta this week to help serve as a quick lil guide for anyone who is better trying to understand cervical fluid. I know CF can feel so confusing and overwhelming because it's not objective data, so it's like 'am I doing this right? am I labeling it right?'. I felt that way all the time when I was first learning. Even when I was like a year in! It took some time, for sure.

WHAT WE'RE CHATTIN' ABOUT IN OUR GROUPCHAT:
-
Vitamin D as the days are getting shorter:
-
OK is anyone else planning to go somewhere this winter to escape the cold?!
-
As a reminder, we teach in our class that the 4 supplements we should all consider taking, per Dr. Aviva Romm's recommendation, is magnesium glycinate, fish oil, vitamin D, and a multi/prenatal.
-
I feel like supplement brands are a hot topic because some people feel like they respond better to one vs another, or one is more affordable, or one feels higher quality. It's a really personal decision. There's so many different options. Do your own research and see what feels best to you, but in case it's helpful as a starting place, I've been taking Magnesium Glycinate from Pure Encapsulations, fish oil from Omegagenics, Vitamin D from Megafood, and a prenatal from Megafood. I am not an expert lol so choose your own!

Cervical fluid tips: As you are tracking your cervical fluid, here is one thing that I learned that really helped me. If you see CF and you're unsure...think to yourself. Is this dry or is it wet? If you see CF and its DRY, it may be more likely sticky. If you see CF and its WET, but its not yet eggwhite, then that might be your transitional creamy cervical fluid.

Basal body temperature tips: If you're going out for the night and will be drinking, add how many drinks you took to your app. I know it might feel like college to 'count your drinks', but it is interesting to learn how many drinks impact you and your temps. Michelle has learned that she can have 2 glasses of wine and is fine, but a 3rd starts warming up her temps.
