Wait... Is this normal? Cervical fluid edition.
Sep 08, 2026
Hey gals! Happy Tuesday! Michelle here & welcome to the start of a two week series on if this is normal. This week were chatting all things cervical fluid.
FAV CLEAN PRODUCT THIS WEEK:
- Clean Underwear
- In line with the cervical fluid topic, I thought I’d share my fave clean underwear! I have been loving the organic cotton undies from Pact.
- When I was pregnant, it really hit me that most of my underwear was made of plastic and it was sitting SO close to my most vulnerable area, so I made the switch to Pact underwear and have not looked back. I love them!
WHAT WE'RE CHATTIN' ABOUT IN OUR GROUPCHAT
We often get tons of questions from our students asking “Is this normal?!” And most of the times, it absolutely is!
I remember the first time I saw a big glop of slippery fluid in my undies that almost resembled a booger and I was like WHAT!! Is this normal?!! And the answer was YES! I just didn’t know what it was!
Cervical fluid looks slightly different for each person but over a few cycles, you should be able to identify a pattern that’s consistent to you! For the purposes of our class and many other fertility awareness tools utilize the categorization of cervical fluid as follows:
-
Dry / no fluid present
-
Sticky
-
Creamy
-
Egg white
Here’s a quick graphic of what that MIGHT look like. The idea here is that your cervical fluid should be getting more liquidy with a higher water content and almost slippery consistency as you approach ovulation.

Fun fact, the most fertile cervical fluid, known as egg white in our class, is conducive to help the little spermies meet your egg if you are trying to conceive. Meaning its the perfect environment for the spermies to swim in so they can make the long journey successfully!
Reply if you've got any cervical fluid q's and we'd be happy to answer them!
Xoxo,
Michelle & Melanie
